Immediate credit future looks good for China…
We expect Greater China's sovereign credit trends to remain positive in 2008, continuing the pattern established in
2007, on the back of regulatory changes that have moved China even further toward becoming a modern market
economy. The changes promote the more productive use of national resources, which should help to sustain a strong
economic growth rate of 10.2% in 2008, and high single-digit growth in the period beyond. Together with the
government's commitment to further reforms, this should continue to strengthen China's credit fundamentals in the
short-to-medium term.
